BOOT DAY
2007
Every year, members of the International Association of Firefighters throughout our nation hit the streets with boots in hand to collect money to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. All money raised is used in the same region it is collected - neighbors helping neighbors. MDA covers over 40 Neuromuscular Diseases including Lou Gehrig's Disease, that effect over 1 million Americans.
This year, the Central Coventry Firefighters alone raised over $7,800 dollars during a one day boot drive held on August 25, 2007.
